MISSISSIPPI REQUIREMENTS FOR Limited X-Ray Machine Operators:
THIS Educational Session is approved by the RADIATION ADVISORY COUNCIL (RAC) of the MS BOARD OF HEALTH. The Rules and Regulations of the Board of Health require 12 hours of initial education and 12 hours of continuing education every two years. This 12 hour program meets the requirements of the Mississippi State Board of Health for operators of X-ray equipment who are not ARRT certified.
COST
$ 150 PER ATTENDEE
No personal checks will be accepted. Checks from physicians, clinics, or businesses will be acceptable. Returned checks will be charged $30.00.
REFUNDS/ TRANSFERRING REGISTRATION FEE
If an educational session does not make:
- The applicant will be issued a full refund. You will need to register for another session.
If an educational session makes and the applicant cannot attend:
- 1) The applicant may cancel their registration and receive a full refund up to 7 days prior to the event via the MSRT event registration page.
- 2) If the applicant does not cancel within 7 days of the event, no refund will be issued. Considerations for extenuating circumstances will be given to allow the registrant to attend a later session. They must contact the coordinator for this option.
REGISTRATION
Only those pre-registered will be admitted. No on-site registrations will be admitted. Each attendee complete online registration by the specified deadline. All fields must be completed.
SPACE IS LIMITED
Participants are confirmed on a first come basis. If filled, you may register for a future training session. A confirmation notice will be emailed once the class has been confirmed as being made.
If less than 20 participants, coordinator must cancel class. If more than the limited number, then overflow must register for another class. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we all have rules to follow.

CERTIFICATES ISSUED
Non-ARRT Technicians: You will be issued a certificate of completion of the required 12 hours educational session. Certificates of attendance will not be issued until payment has been received. Your attendance will remain documented by the MSRT for a period of three years.
PERMIT APPLICATIONS
Permit application with the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure is through their Gateway. This application must be submitted to the MS State Board of Medical Licensure, not the MSRT.
This Permit Application is not for Chiropractic or Dental.
